Wine, Cheese and Chocolate

I like to think of wine, cheese and chocolate as three of the four food groups. Those three items gave gotten me through the Nixon administration, gas lines, mullets, Boy George, Season 3 of Heroes, any Mariah Carey movie, Monica Lewinski, WMD’s, The IRS and DOMA. In short, anyone who has anything going on in their lives and feels the need to seriously de-stress should forego the pills and therapy sessions and go straight to the Cabernet, Brie and Bon-Bons. But that’s just me. Or maybe not.

wineThe Purr’n Pooch Foundation for Animals is excited to announce their 4th annual fundraising event – “A Sweet Summer Night.”
When: July 27th
Where: Deal Country Club in Deal, NJ
Time: 7pm – 11pm

Attendees will enjoy a sweet night of fine wine, open bar, lavish displays of hors d’oeuvres, carving stations and decadent pastries, while raising funds to help less fortunate animals in desperate need of sanctuary, protection, rescue and love. You are cordially invited to join them on this beautiful evening or be a sponsor of this wonderful event. Dress to impress! *No jeans. And I’m pretty sure fur is not welcome either.

The Purr’n Pooch Foundation for Animals is a well known organization here in New Jersey, rescuing and caring for thousands of dogs, cats, birds, turtles and any living creature that Elly May Clampett might call a “critter.” (And if you get that reference, you should remember to pay your AARP dues. And your underwear goes on the outside). The evening promises to be that rare combination of having fun and doing something meaningful. How often does that happen? Not much you say? Well, I say with enough wine, anything is possible.
