MRCC Bridal and Special Events Showcase

I just saw the movie “Bridesmaids” so forgive me if my typing goes a little screwy as I write this article. Every time I seem to expound on a wedding thought, I completely lose it. Marriage is a sacred institution but who says you can’t have a little fun in the process? How about that You Tube video where the entire bridal party comes rockin’ and rollin’ down the aisle, dancing their way to the altar with the enthusiasm of Usi Umenyora closing in on Tom Brady? That was F-U-N! The thing about weddings (besides the fact that these days they take more logistical planning than say, Operation Desert Storm) is that each and every ceremony could and should be tailored to the bride and groom’s own tastes and desires (of course, mostly the bride – heck, I’ve seen “Bridezillas”). So with that in mind, it doesn’t hurt to have a little help from the pros when it comes time to plan that special day.

On hand that afternoon will be an assortment of businesses that can assist you in making your wedding and honeymoon just what you’d always dreamed it would be. Here are some of the professionals ready to help you tie the knot:

Janet’s Weddings and Pretty Parties
Ambient DJ’s
NJWedding.com
David’s Bridals – (who will present a fashion show right out of “27 Dresses”)
Cruise Planners – (last cruise I performed on there were 8 honeymoon couples and the Captain was so smart, he put 4 couples on one side of the ship and 4 on the other…do the math)

While you’re there why not enter a contest to win a free honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas by cruise planners (who knows, your humble editor might even be your onboard comedian that week!). There will be food and drink from some of Mercer County’s finest caterers and culinary experts to help you choose a menu that gives you more of a choice than chicken or fish. And cake. There can never be enough cake. So go, eNJoy, and if you get a chance, maybe go see “Bridesmaids” first. After all, you’ve got a lifetime to spend together. Why not have a few laughs first?
